Berlin (December 17, 2024). A strong partnership reaches the next level. The Swabian e-bike manufacturer Waldbike is installing the new 48-volt system from Brose in its next product generation. The Berlin-based company will launch the system – consisting of the Drive³ Peak drive, two batteries (Battery InTube 800 and 650) and the Control Allround operating unit – on the market in June 2025.
Brose has been supplying e-bike systems to the bicycle manufacturer since Waldbike was founded in December 2022. The Swabians stand for high-quality products that are made by hand in their glass factory in Calw. Thanks to 85% European components and cooperation with regional partners, Waldbike acts almost CO2-neutral. The company also runs an annual campaign in which a new tree is planted for every e-bike sold.
Daniel Wolde-Giorgis, Head of Brose E-Bike: “Our collaboration with Waldbike has always been based on mutual appreciation. We are therefore very happy that it will continue in the coming years. The company's philosophy of quality and sustainability is a perfect fit for us and our products manufactured in Germany. All this makes Waldbike an ideal partner for the market launch of the new Brose system.”
When developing their new e-bike system, the Berlin-based company set the highest standards in terms of reliability, riding experience and user-friendliness. Brose will start production of the core components – the quiet and powerful Drive³ Peak, the batteries (Battery InTube 800 and 650) and the Control Allround – in June 2025. Additional components will then be integrated into the system step by step.
Waldbike Managing Director Jan Jochens: “Waldbike deliberately chose the Brose system because it perfectly reflects the values and aspirations of our company: outstanding quality made in Germany, natural riding dynamics, innovation and sustainability. Our collaboration is based on a shared vision and a clear value match.”
The new generation of Waldbikes with the Brose system will be launched in late fall 2025. There are plans for touring e-bikes (hardtail, fully and step-through) and an e-mountain bike (hardtail). The company also intends to offer full-suspension models in the all-mountain and enduro segments. As usual, the new Waldbike platform is characterized by a high permissible total weight (up to 180 kilograms), a focus on ergonomics and individual customization options. The trailer certification also ensures maximum customer benefit.
“The partnership with Brose offers a strong foundation for innovation and market success,” emphasizes Jochens: ”As a young OEM, we appreciate the trusting cooperation, which is characterized by innovative approaches and offers room for joint growth. Together we create solutions that shape the mobility of tomorrow. The introduction of the new bikes with Brose technology not only creates unique riding experiences, but also contributes to our commitment to sustainability and family friendliness.”
Waldbike stands for sustainable, family-friendly mobility from the heart of the Black Forest. With sustainable production, high-quality regional components and technological innovation, Waldbike sets standards for environmentally friendly mobility. Every Waldbike sold plants a tree, which underlines the deep connection to nature and climate protection. Whether for families, commuters or outdoor enthusiasts – Waldbike offers customized e-bikes that combine safety, ergonomics and a sense of adventure.
Brose e-bike systems offer the right solution for every application – whether in city, trekking or mountain bikes.
